All OG Upsetter 12 inches are rare but to know which Upsetter 12 inches are more available than others it is good to discuss which ones still were pressed (with JA stamper) in the US in the eighties
My suspects are
Raphel Green Hugo Blackwood Dr. Alimantado – Rasta Train/Reggae Music Proof there is a US RGH Test pressing Carlton Jackson - History / Jr Delgado - Sons of Slave, Proof Chappy disco Sleeve
The Congos - Nekodeemus / Solid Foundation Proof US label paper (if that makes sense lol)
The Heptones - Why Must I / I Shall be Released were pressed I havnt found proof yet,
As we know the ones that were only pressed and released in JA are more expensive.

The blue labelled Sons of Slave was pressed in the US, from JA stampers, and could be found in non-reggae shops. Like many things Scratch it seems that others were going to be pressed in New York but didn't get beyond test presses. VP continued to press in JA into the 1980's. When the wheels came off with Island, Scratch did a deal with VP who pressed up some 'Heart of..' albums and some discos'...like the popular Sons of....' The deal didn't last long....by that time his music wasn't selling...
